Title: Hangar 9 .60 Size WarBirds
Post by: Mike Kopf on February 26, 2015, 10:05:42 PM
I own three of the Hangar 9 .60 size warbirds. The Spitfire, Corsair, and the P-40 Warhawk. I have flown the Spitfire quite a lot and it flies well. It is a bit tricky to take off and land but looks superb and handles well in the air. All of these ARFs are very well made. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a well made somewhat easy to fly warbird. The retracts in all of these are a bit cheesy but they hold up well and work well too.
Hangar 9 did their homework. These planes have been built very light especially in the tail which is a great thing since you will not need to add nose weight to balance. In fact my Spitfire needed tail weight to balance.
Construction is top notch. Try one you will like it. i would recommend this series to anyone.
They come in the mentioned three versions as well as a Hellcat, Me-109, AT-6 Texan, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51D.
