The April 13 'Fun Fly' is now a STICK FEST rescheduled for April 6. Ultra Stick, Ugly Stick, Long Jon, Slim Jim, Rookie, etc, etc. Come join us at 0900 for some friendly fun competition games. NO entry fee. If you don't really want to play games, come and watch the carnage...I mean fun. I will also need some judges, stopwatch operators, etc.  8) Pass the word around.

Mike Kopf will be coordinating this 1st Annual Stick Fest as I have to be in Houston that weekend. Have fun!

Yes sir, 10-4, roger dodger!!  8) Do NOT crash your stick because at 0900 April 27, 2019 STICKFEST III will commence with high drama. The first annual Stickfest trophy is at stake here. Paintball rifles are not allowed to shoot down your competitor. Other forms of sabotage might be allowed as long as it is not on my plane. Professional judges are being flown in from Washington, DC. A sophisticated computer algorithm will be used to calculate the final scores. Extra bleachers will be constructed to handle overflow crowds.
That is all.

The first annual Stick Fest was a huge success. Ten pilots faced stiff competition in 4 different fun games. The wind came up later but we battled on. Bill Law was the overall winner. Sorry about all the lost golf balls, Mike.

I was able to compile the final results of the GSWAM 2019 Stick Fest Competition. This event was comprised of the following events:
1. Three laps taxi around the cones - Timed;
2. Golf Ball Drop-n-Put
3. Three Rolls -n- Three Loops - Timed

The winds made for an exciting challenge for all stages of the event. In the Golf event only Billy was able to drop a golf ball on the runway. Over-all 2nd place Mike Kopf narrowly beat Paul Lange calculating up combined "Time's" of both the Cone Race & the Loop-n-Roll race by less than 4 seconds. Paul Crashed Darrell's loaned competition Aircraft, Mike Kopf's aircraft suffered a cracked fuselage landing in the grass from deadstick, Max Ficken raced into the grassy standing water pond. The Golf event was nearly even with 5-6 strokes across the board into a par 1 effort chip shot into a 10ft circle.

The final "Official" results are as follows:
First Place: Billy Law 1min;37sec / 6 Strokes
Second Place: Mike Kopf 1min:55sec / 6 Strokes
Third Place: Paul Lange 1min;59sec / 5 Strokes
Fourth Place: Frank Rowell 1min;65sec / 5 Strokes
Fifth Place: Darrell Abby 1min:68sec / 6 Strokes
Sixth Place: Lewie Moore 1min:73sec / 5 Strokes
Valiant Participants DNF: Max Ficken; Johnny Hunt
